From Humble Beginnings to Trusted Partner: Our Story
Dayton Roof Contractor’s story began in March 2009 with Army veteran Josh Hopkins. Returning home after a two-year deployment, he found his own roof leaking. Determined to fix it himself and save money, Josh tackled the project, learning on the fly. His meticulous attention to detail caught the attention of neighbors, who soon requested his help with minor repairs. This was the spark that ignited Dayton Roof Contractor.
Josh officially launched DRC in 2010, securing insurance and local certifications. Starting solo, his dedication and expertise quickly grew the business. By year’s end, he had hired three experienced roofers to join his team. Today, DRC boasts a team of fully insured, highly skilled professionals serving Dayton and surrounding areas.
